Sunday saw Northumberland Lightnings fifth National League game and their first rematch of the campaign, playing host to Dundee Hurricanes at Ashington Rugby Club. The teams both met 4 weeks earlier in the reverse fixture, playing in horrendous conditions at Morgan Rugby Club, which saw a late surge from the ‘Canes secure a 37-6 victory.
Last Sunday, 26th of April, saw the fledgling Northumberland Lightning take on the Newcastle Vikings in their second NFC North II game of the season. It proved to be a very difficult day for the Lightning, as they were comprehensively beaten by the Vikings 79-0 in a one sided encounter at Ashington Rugby Club.

While other newly weds would be jetting off on honeymoon Daley was racing around the famous road circuit while his new wife Natalie cheered him on.
The last time the Northumberland Lightning spoke to LoveNE in September 2014, the club were competing in their associate year and bidding to compete in the National Leagues for 2015.
